About the Campaign

Your neighbors live across the street and the country, across oceans and hemispheres. As millions of God’s children flee war, persecution and poverty, Pope Francis, Caritas InternationalisUnited States Conference of Catholic BishopsCatholic Charities USA, and Catholic Relief Services invite you to share their journey by walking with them in prayer and support.

Pope Francis has made numerous appeals to promote the culture of encounter in an effort to combat the culture of indifference in the world today. It means seeing through the eyes of others rather than turning a blind eye.

Share the Journey runs from September 2017 and runs until September 2019. During that time, we will highlight local efforts to provide hope for migrants through prayer and action as well as world events that impact those in our community. Learn more at the Share the Journey website.

“Not just to see but to look. Not just to hear but to listen. Not just to meet and pass by, but to stop. And don’t just say ‘what a shame, poor people,’ but allow ourselves to be moved by pity.” – Pope Francis.
