All are welcome at this special Mass to spiritually prepare for Christ. Simbang Gabi is a novena of Masses traditionally held in the Phillipines. Originally, the Masses were held just before dawn to accommodate the fact that people needed to be in the fields and working. In the United States, many Filipino communities switched to evening Masses for various reasons, including modern work schedules. Today, people from many cultures participate in Simbang Gabi and thus deepen their appreciation of the Advent season.
