New Parking Rules Taking Effect Now - Enforcement Begins March 1

The long-expected parking changes, due to the construction of the Founders Row complex, are here. The City of Falls Church has begun placing signs on North Spring Street and the Church side of Park Avenue limiting parking to a maximum of two hours per vehicle. Parking on the residential side of Park Avenue will be by permit only when those signs are installed later this month. Enforcement of these new rules is anticipated to begin around Friday, March 1. To avoid any difficulties that the new parking rules might pose as you attend Mass or other events at St. James, we urge you to make use of one of our own parking lots: at Park & Spring Streets (A Lot); at Park & Oak Streets (B Lot); and in the Teacher's Lot (C Lot) off of Broad Street. All three lots are a city block or more away from the construction site, and parking in these lots assures you of a worry-free, and most importantly, ticket-free, parking experience. We thank you for your understanding and your efforts to ensure that St. James remains a good neighbor within the City of Falls Church.
