Some of our Legion works include: Visiting the Sick and Elderly Visiting Sunrise Nursing Home and interacting with the patients there, as well as visiting sick parishioners and prayer with them. We also check-up to see if they need Communion brought to them or a priest visit. Door-to-Door Visitation Evangelizing and visiting Falls Church residents to help with their spiritual needs. Involves going door-to-door to invite people, particularly Catholics who don't attend Mass, to come visit St. James. We also invite them to other Church activities, and hand-out Rosaries, Medals, etc. Pilgrim Virgin Enthronement Taking a Statue of the Virgin Mary from home-to-home of people who have signed up to receive her, and saying prayers with them Crowd Contact Giving out sacramental and literature at fairs bazaars, to the East Falls Church Metro Station, and other places. Teaching CCD Being an aid or teacher of CCD. Working With Junior Legionaries Working with our Junior Legionaries aged 8-18 to train them for Senior Legionary Membership, and help them grow in personal holiness. Visiting our Auxiliary Members Our Auxiliary members pray for us and the people we contact. In turn we visit them and let them know what we have been doing and how their prayers have helped us as well as thanking them for praying. Other Activities as Assigned by Spiritual Advisor |
