    For more than a century, St. James has carried the Gospel message of salvation across generations. From weddings to wakes to graduations, St. James has been a spiritual touchstone for many. It is this sense of community and faith which I hope you find here.
    Last month I wrote about our response to the Pope’s call for a New Evangelization. We stand ready to meet this challenge, to empower each of us to be Gospel witnesses. Twenty-seven ministries involve more than 300 people; 700 children are enrolled in our School and PREP program; literally hundreds of less fortunate members of our community here and abroad have been served by our Social Outreach programs, Rice Bowl, and mission collections. But this is only the beginning.
